Hello, and thanks for visiting!
My name is Susan Renée. I’m an experienced newborn baby and family photographer and a devoted mum of two teenage boys. Together with the help of my Office Manager, Carla, I run Kingshill Studios.
As a mum, I know how quickly time passes. It seems like only moments ago I was cradling my boys in my arms, and now they tower above me! Sometimes I wish I could go back to those simpler times and capture more photos of them so that I would have those memories to enjoy now.
I firmly believe that special family moments captured in photographs are a gift that keeps on giving. An investment in photography is one that will last a lifetime and bring you infinite joy.
ABOUT KINGSHILL STUDIOS
Kingshill Studios is a leading luxury portrait studio, uniquely situated on five acres of beautiful countryside, on the outskirts of Aberdeen in the beautiful northeast of Scotland. We specialise in both newborn baby photos and family portraits, ensuring those precious moments are captured and that they last a lifetime.
Whether you’d prefer to have indoor portraits in the studio or natural, relaxed outdoor portraits, we can help. Here, we have everything we need to ensure you a comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable time while having your family’s portraits taken.
OUR APPROACH
We realise that having a professional portrait done may seem daunting, but other than making your booking and attending your design consultation before your session, there really is nothing for you to do or to prepare. We’ll take care of everything.
Because you visit us at the studio rather than me coming to your home, you won’t need to tidy up beforehand or clear up afterwards. You can also relax in the knowledge that I’m safety-trained, fully qualified and insured, and a highly experienced photographer. I’ve literally photographed thousands of babies, children and families!

About Susan: I’ve studied and trained with some of the world’s leading newborn and family portrait photographers to enable me to confidently, comfortably and, most importantly, safely pose newborn babies and children. Thanks to my background as a wedding photographer, a headteacher, and a mother of two, I also know how to put even the most reluctant of participants at ease!
I am also a qualified Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers, the Society for Wedding & Portrait Photographers and The Guild of Photographers. I’ve worked in some of the most fantastic locations and venues, and my images have been featured in numerous national photography magazines. I’m also extremely proud to have been given the honour of becoming a Burgess of Guild of the City and Royal Burgh of Aberdeen and I’m a passionate supporter of local charities.
